More on Roberto Brown signing

Comment by Marc Connolly in a recent USsoccerplayers.com article (he also writes for ESPN):

"It flew under the radar a bit, but the signing of big striker Roberto Brown by the Colorado Rapids is one I like a lot. Brown has always given Eddie Pope a run for his money when the US and Panama have played in the past, and surely will cause a tough matchup for some of the smaller centerbacks around MLS such as Carlos Mendes and Michael Parkhurst."

Soccer America says:

''El Bombardero'' scored against the USA in a 1-1 tie during qualifying play for the 2006 World Cup. He arrives from Tacuarembo FC in the Uruguayan first division.

''His addition to the offensive line will help solve the scoring drought issues from last season,'' said Colorado coach Fernando Clavijo.

Let's hope he's that big target head we've been looking for to get on the ends of Cookie Kicks!
