Okay, you didn't honestly believe I wasn't going to post, did you?

A BigSoccer poster has put together a single table view of MLS standings.
But really, it's so much more than that. The graphical representation really brings alive some of the thoughts I've been trying to express about how the importance of the regular season is being strengthened due to playoff changes as well as new competitions coming online.
Check it out! Lots of stuff to follow for the regular season. At least, compared to last year...
1. New playoff format makes it harder to get into the playoffs if you suck but are in the right conference.
2. New US Open Cup rules mean all MLS teams are *not* automatic entries.
3. New SuperLiga competition gives top 4 teams another shot at fame, games, and money.
Of course, the regular season winner could face an extra 6-20 games next season! Talk about needing more depth on the player charts...
