Busy Weekend Game
Beckham sells out this weekend's game
Apparently, nobody realizes that Beckham is still trying to secure his place in Spanish history and will not be within 6,000 miles of The Dick on Saturday. But his karma is still over our matchup with LA.
Yep, the Rapids are expected to announce a sell-out of our upcoming match against LA this weekend (even if Marcus has to buy all the tickets and pawn his Kia Sedona to do so).
The Rapids have also, in their infinite wisdom, schedule a massive youth soccer tournament expected to draw thousands of soccer kids and families to The Dick all day. So parking and arrival/exit could be a problem.
Our Man on the Street, Marcus, suggests the following:
Fans are encouraged to take the following routes to The Dick to best avoid delays:
-From I-70:
Exit onto Vasquez Blvd. and go north to 60th Ave.; turn right and proceed to the stadium.
OR: exit onto Colorado Blvd. and go north to 64th Ave.; turn right and proceed to the stadium. (Note: 64th is labeled as "Prairie" as you turn into the stadium drive)
-Fans entering The Dick from 60th Ave will park in Lots H & G.
-Fans entering The Dick from 64th Ave will park Lots A & AA. (FYI -- AA is where Class VI tailgates)
-To avoid traffic delays please avoid taking Quebec Ave to 56th Ave. to enter or exit The Dick.
Remember: It's an early start time, 6:30pm Tailgating will begin around 4:30pm on the edge of Lot AA.
