Top of the Table & No Looking Back!
Building on what hopefully becomes Rapids tradition, the opening game of the season at DSG Park was not only a victory - but also an incredibly entertaining and flowing game of soccer!
The weather was perfect and the atmosphere buzzing at the tailgate. In a wonderful show of solidarity, all supporters put their efforts together to host Colorado's best soccer tailgate in history.
Inside, the stadium was rocking! The players came out and showed tremendous heart and Rapids pride as they took apart Beckham, Landon, and Ruiz. Stunning goals by Cookie and Clark were only part of the celebration. The young Rapids players stepped up and showed that the Cobras' (Rapids Reserve Team) back to back Reserve League Titles are achievements to be very proud of.
Some stunning goals by the good guys and an absolute wonderful time with Rapids fans, has put smiles on a lot of faces to start out the March to MLS Cup 2008.
