Rapids Jersey Sponsor coming soon?

I know, who wants politics served up with their sports. We've already had a taste of that when the Rapids hosted China.
So will 2008 see Walmart as the Rapids jersey sponsor? The easy path would be for Silent Stan to tap the wife's ear and get a deal done using the family connection according to conventional thinking.
But this is MLS and we are the Rapids! According to inside team sources, 2008 has a small chance of seeing the Rapids secure a jersey sponsor, if the league will grant permission, like they gave to DC United, for a mid season deal. But 2009 is the year that the Rapids will most certainly role out the new sponsor.
The good news is, we can keep separate our politics from our sports and not discuss how we feel about the controversial retail giant being on the chests of our Rapids players, because Walmart is not going to be the Rapids first jersey sponsor.
We can only hope our jersey will feature this guy's face! If you don't undrestand, you don't watch enough late night TV.
