Unless something happens before then, this Sunday will be the 15th day in a row that we've reached 90+ here in Denver. This morning the predicted high for Sunday is 99F. Thankfully it's not predicted to be a 100F, right?
Luckily our Colorado Rapids won't be kicking off against the Columbus Crew until 7:30pm. Class VI will be starting it's tailgating at 5:30pm. We invite all fans to join us. If you join us for the tailgate, please send us a . What's $5 for some nice food and a couple wonderful Wynkoop beers?
If you're wondering where the tailgating occurs, click here. Given the weather predictions, I advise against bundling up like the folks in the picture!
After winning only once in 5 tries in June, our Rapids have scored 8 goals in their last 4 games. With the 2nd stingiest defense at home in the league, only having given up 5 goals at DSG Park, we should be watching a win this Sunday evening, right? Let's hope so. The 2008 Crew have finally learned to win under Sigi Schmid. They have the 2nd best record in the MLS. But they have only won once in their last 5 games. Worse for Columbus, they'll be missing width in their midfield with Ekpo gone with Nigerian Olympic team and Robbie Rogers joining the US team in their Olympic preparations.
