New CVIers

Class VI would like to welcome Ann and Tim!!! They'll be joining the section for the rest of the season.

Also sitting in the section to see what it's like will be David, Rachel, & Danielle

Remember to look for members with pins on - and CVIers wear your pins! :)

Look around and say hello to people - if they are CIVers great - get to know them ... if they are not CVIers - let them know that they in Class VI and what it's about.

We are quickly approaching 60 VIers ... things are going very well indeed.

4th of July Extravagna!!!

The Big 4th of July game is here - that means awesome fireworks and one of the Rapids putting the ball in the net THREE TIMES!!!

Yes folks, there is history to be made.

But if you need extra seats to Class VI ... get those tickets EARLY EARLY EARLY. The game will most likely have 40,000+ people at the game.

Tina and Eric will be putting up the banner - they also have some 12" x 18" flags that will be making their Class VI debut - there are 10 Spanish, 10 Isreali, and 10 English flags - get one from them to wave to our favoriate foreigners!!! Don't be shy - just ask!!!!

Remember to look around for other Class VIers with their pins on - and also - I've been on a bit of recruiting run lately - you could see some new faces in the section - make sure you say hello to the people around you and tell them about Class VI or welcome them to Class VI if they are there checking it out.

It's up to YOU! I'm outta state for the next couple weeks and will miss the next two games.

Make some noise and let the boys know that we're behind them!

Away Game Viewing Party

Unless you have HDNet - you're going to have to head out to watch the game.

Why not join other Rapids Fans and head to the British Bulldog in Downtown Denver? Watch with other passionate fans as the Rapids dismantle FC Dallas.

Kick off is at 6:30PM

The British Bulldog, located at 2052 Stout Street in Denver (Broadway and Stout are the cross streets. The British Bulldog is directly across from the Westar Bank location) Phone: 303-295-7974. Get there early as seating is limited especially at the Plasma TV!

The Bulldog is a GREAT place.

Post Game

If you were at the Chivas match - the people sitting in the half closest to midfield were nearly ALL Class VI members. Nearly 30 were in attendance in total.

Tina, Eric, and Dave have graciously taken over the banner - and they also have the nation flags (representing Rapids Int'l players) that will be popping up next game.

At the game - Marcus (our main Rapids contact) spoke with me ... he has reserved a lot of seats for the July 20th Double header - get your extra seats EARLY. This is VERY important - we wil be surrounded by Club America fans that will mostly be there for the second game.

Let's keep the section growing. If you know anybody that may be interested in joining up with Class VI ... have them drop me an email and I can probably get them some tickets to check out the section.

Game Change

CVIers - the Rapids have scheduled a double header! The game was moved from Friday July 21st to Thursday July 20th at 6PM. That's right 6PM!

Of course the Rapids aren't PLAYING an international team - but the next best thing: Club American vs Club San Luis ... one storied Mexican Club and one Cinderella Club.

IMPORTANT: You DO NOT Have to move your seats to the west side for this game. CLASS VI will STILL be in 125.

This game will draw a significant number of fans ... and on top of the two Mexican Clubs playing - the Rapids are playing Chivas USA - which has a significant local following due to the connection to Chivas of Mexico. It's very important that if you plan on attending this game - you do your ticket exchange/purchase BEFORE hand.

They are HOLDING the seats for us ... but the sooner you make the purchase or exchange the better.

Critical West Conference Conundrum!

Okay, too many "C's" in that one, but we play Chivas Wednesday evening, 7:30pm at Mile High.

Fans gotta show! Chivas' fans will be there and we've got to make them look bad.

Unlike their team, which is on a hot streak and is forcing us into an important game to hold on to 3rd place in the Western Conference. Suddenly, everyone's favorite LA whipping boy isn't the Goats!

See everyone there in Class VI during the game and tailgating before!

Chivas Chivas!

This is mui mui importante!!!!

If you need extra tickets to the game against the goats on Wednesday - be sure to get them via the website purchase button or through ticket exchange to the address I emailed out, and do so BEFORE WEDNESDAY.

This will ensure that your seats are smack dab in the middle of CVI.

There is a strong possibility that there will be a decent crowd at the game - so guarantee your seats by taking care of them before match day!

Class VI Soccer Team

Class VI Soccer team.

Were putting this out as an idea. (Reply to JOqueli@ozarch.com)

If anyone is interested get back to us ASAP as we need to know what type and if we can get a team in.

Depending on interest we will decide if this would be a co-ed or men’s team.

We need to register by week’s end, so please let us know soon if you're interested.

8 week session.

This is indoor, 6 v 6. The location is Colorado Soccer in Westminster.

Team fee would be $610, split amongst team members.

To have a decent team, we would need at least 8-9 dedicated players.

Please contact Josh who is putting this effort together at JOqueli@OZARCH.COM

Rocky Mountain Cup in attendance

Friday night the Rocky Mountain Cup (RMC) trophy will be making an appearance during the tailgating before the stomping of FSL on the field, just after 5pm.

Fans will also see the trophy held by fan groups throughout the game, and we definitely hope to see the Cup in the Class VI section!

Check out the RMC site for details about the competition and why it's so important to kick a little FSL!

FSL comes Friday!

Fake Salt Lake visits Friday evening in what we're calling the "Germany v. Costa Rica" match of MLS! Ya almost feel sorry for Utah-ins.

Us Class VI SuperFans are hoping the week spent stewing over Saturday's lethargic showing in Los Angeles will have the team hopping for a win.

As we noted in our earlier post this week, Chivas was looking dangerous. Apparently the team forgot to read the Class VI blog! For shame...

We're also hope Jeff Cunningham doesn't continue to come back to haunt us!

More importantly, we're hoping to see you! loud and clear Friday evening. We'll be hanging out in the first 5 or 6 rows of section 125 as usual. Join us for a great viewing experience!

The Game:
Friday, June 9th, 7:30pm kickoff: Rapids defend their Rocky Mountain Cup title as Fake Salt Lake comes to visit. The two teams tied 2-2 in Salt Lake City in May, although Colorado dominated the wet, rainy, frigid game on junky fake turf.

Let's jeer the jokesters from Utah in style! And with our pins on. Don't forget 'em at home or get yours at the game from Mark!

Saturday-Away Game Viewing

Have you been to the British Bulldog for an away game viewing party? Lots of CVIers have been there - Mary & Joe, Carlos & Rachel, Mark, Greenie, Bill, Joe C, and probably others I'm forgetting! (I had a VERY good time wink wink - and may have forgotten someone!). Lots of C-Firm members and other Rapids fans as well!

Well it's time again ... British Bulldog 8PM Saturday against the GOATS!!! That's right Chivas USA is ready for a fall to our boys YET AGAIN.

Come join the fun! If you're not a member of Class VI - come and have a drink with us and see what all the fun at the Bulldog is all about.

They have great English Food like Fish and Chips and Sheppards Pie - but also great Pakastani food!!!

Hope to see you there!

Oh and remember - NO ITALIAN JERSEYS WILL BE TOLERATED ;)

New Banner & upcoming games

The new Class VI banner was very visible all evening, thanks again to the British Bulldog for providing the banner and a great viewing party atmosphere for away games.

Reports were that everyone could see it, even from across the stadium, and watching the replay on TV it was in view often during the telecast last night.

Upcoming Games for June:
Friday, June 9th, 7:30pm kickoff: Rapids defend their Rocky Mountain Cup title as Fake Salt Lake comes to visit. The two teams tied 2-2 in Salt Lake City in May, although Colorado dominated.

Wed, June 21st, 7:30pm kickoff: Rapids see the re-tooled Chivas for the first time this year. The other LA club ain't winnin', but they *are* scoring and looking dangerous.

Note: the Official Rapids Schedule is available here and is a link on the right-hand side of this page.

Wonderful Wednesday Win!

Great game last night, Class VI was rockin' with the new banner hung over the railing and tons of great fans joining in full voice.

Everyone polled had a great time and we had very good attendance for the Wednesday Night Thrilla over the Gals. It was nice to help them extend their team record for not scoring.

Not only did L.A. go scoreless in May (many thanks to the Rapids and Bouna Time!) but the Rapids helped their scoreless streak reach 480 minutes. FAN-tastic.

Lots of Class VI'ers were wearing the very cool new seating club pins and they are selling fast, so make sure to hunt down Mark and get yours today, $4. You don't need to be a season-ticket holder to buy them, just a fan of the Rapids!

There was discussion last night of getting some large yellow and red cards to help the new MLS referees they keep sending us. Feel free to bring some and let us know where we can get some fun ones.
